I have a friend who uses a walker. He went to BOA and had to wait almost an hour to get to the teller, the line was so huge! The very next day he joined a local Credit Union and is very happy. I followed him to that Credit Union and couldn't be happier! I was with BOA over 30 years, and am sorry I stayed there so long.

B of A is lousy to their women. A friend hit the glass ceiling, so she quit & went to law school! Lol. Her friend also hit a glass ceiling. She complained so they put her at an empty desk w no work. They wanted her to quit. She sued, & went to law school. Double lol. Go Ladies. This was a lot of yrs ago & still makes me laugh. Chase, keep 5 figures in an acct & earn 69 cents interest. I really like Ally, Capitol One. I also noticed on 1 of those Chase or Wells Fargo or B of A... they place the largest check first which can throw all smaller ones into non-sufficient funds status. Charges for each one. If they wait on the largest check to submit it last. You'd have zero nsf charges except for the one largest check. They can do that just like the current system is programmed to make them the most in fees. Rotten.

Fun Fact: If you leave ANY AMOUNT of cash in any bank account and have no transactions for 1 year, They send you a letter basically saying: "If you still want this money, you have 30 days to let us know. Otherwise we'll close the account and KEEP THE MONEY. This is true for EVERY bank.

Those banks are not interested in checking or savings accounts. Their main business is investment accounts and that is who they cater to. If you want checking or savings accounts then you will pay because it wastes their time to have to deal with checking and savings account when their main purpose is home and business loans and investment accounts in which case they are good for that.

Main reason why like mint not only it’s free, it show all my subscriptions (I got so many for work too) and hidden fees, I found it most cheapest way to have another bank checking account with all bills and subscriptions in one account only. Chase has all the graphs and breakdown of spending. Finally got my budgets organized since Mint discontinued. If I would to subscribe a new one, I will use that account.

I’m so glad this video came out! I actually have been struggling with the same thing, i worked hard to be debt free and we have cash flowed a wedding and moving etc. so i became super intentional with saving and the mindset of struggling to allow yourself to spend money is real. I have a blow money sinking fund b/c i want to try to give myself permission to just “go wild” if i wanted. I am still not there but im at least self aware of my issue with my mindset. Glad to hear others are like me!

Good advice here!! Maxing ROTH should be top goal. My only thoughts are that he should log out of the accounts more! Setting up all those savings streams is good but the mental load of monitoring and tweaking all of them can be a lot, from experience, and add to this feeling he has of constantly needing to save more. Automate savings, simplify accounts, unplug from the apps!

OK for for those of them that are watching the video and saying “ WOW! It’s so expensive to live in LA” well we ain’t in Kansas no more! “ no pun intended to your home city” LA is a world city truly a magnificent landscape. Yes it’s gotten overcrowded in the last 20 years because transplants want to live here to pursue their careers and dreams ect. But if the state and businesses small and big we’re not so greedy LA would be much more affordable for the average family and person.

Putting down more than 5%, especially in a hot market like KC, is silly. You'll live to regret giving up that much liquidity. I know you won't listen but hopefully this makes you think. Take it from someone who bought in 2024 and put down 5% but was going to do a huge down.

@@greenlantern1986 I've been in my home for many months now. My gut told me giving up tens of thousands of dollars in liquidity for an immaterial difference in a mortgage payment would be a bad idea, and it turns out I was correct. Big down payments don't make sense for high income earners like the creators in this video. It's the same thing as a 25 year old prepaying thei rmortgage. There are just flat out better ways to use you money.

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

the housing checklist seems to start sounding like lifestyle inflation. Avoid HOAs if you can. Your HOA may be simple and hands off now, but just wait until you get some power hungry neighbors.
